Disappointed in life? Eternity is a long time to make progress
Psalm 39 speaks of our days on earth as being a “handsbreadth”.
For me that’s about six inches. Not a very long life…So, am Iooking back and saying I wish I would have done more of this and less of this? No, I am living eternally right now and forever…Enough time to grow into my best, true self, don’t you think?

Psalm 38

“Must be some sin in your life…”
Emotional, spiritual, even physical, health, is affected by brokenness in our relationships with others. Looking for unrepented sin in my life when I am suffering seems so archaic, yet it’s spot on.

2 Timothy 4:2-3

Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.

For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. They will reject the truth and chase after myths.

Critical Thinking on Critical Social Justice Theory

How to Address Real Issues with Reality

  • Does it seem to you that our world has turned upside down?
  • Does it seem new words for things are constantly showing up and the definitions of words that have been around for awhile are changing, too?
  • When you hear phrases like, “white supremacy” and “gender fluidity” are you confused?
  • If you answer “Yes” to any of the above, do we have a class for you-

Monday Night@ 6 PM PT

We will examine Critical Social Justice Theory through the lens of Cynical Theories: How Activist Scholarship Made Everything about Race, Gender, and Identity- and Why This Harms EverybodyThis is not a book study per say, but this will be the main text.

We will not only consider the real dangers of Critical Theory, but will also consider alternative approaches to help address some very real social problems we face in our society.  Biblical foundations and brain research informed by the teachings of Dallas Willard and Jim Wilder will also guide our learning together.

We begin Monday, September 21@ 6 PM PT

Class participation is by registration only

Truthful and encouraging words and actions that enhance the lives of others for the good…That’s a good start…

Gleaming, Not Gloating…
When we gloat we don’t promote others or ourselves
When we gleam we shine ourselves and we shine on others
