The greatest book of wisdom ever written?

Consider this:

“Within this divinely anointed compilation of Proverbs there is a deep well of wisdom to reign in life and to succeed in our destiny. The wisdom that God has designed for us to receive will cause us to excel- to rise up as rulers-to-be on earth for his glory. The kingdom of God is brought into the earth as we implement the godly wisdom of Proverbs” (TPT)

Our experiences make up the substance of reality.

We are spiritual substance.

You are a spiritual being having a human experience.

The Trinity is persons sharing experiences.

The first level of sharing experiences is conversation.

Prayer is speaking with God about how things are going in our work together.

Work is joining Jesus in the expansion of Gods’ Kingdom, working for the good of others.

We are living in eternity now.

The social and political realm, and the human heart, are the only places in creation where God’s Kingdom is currently permitted to be absent.

May God’s rule be completed in my life where I am, all around me, day by day, just the way it is done in heaven.

We can be our own little kingdoms.

All the problems of the world are about wrong thinking about God.

As sons and daughters of the King, we have access to his authority and power, and we join him in offering the things of heaven, breaking into the other kingdoms, grounded in his love.

First in a four week series on the Ten Commandments.

Exodus 19 speaks of God establishing a covenant, a promise, with his people; his sons and daughters. That’s relationship. Our identity is given to us freely by God.

Then in Exodus 20 God gives us the Ten Commandments. Only after he has established the relationship does he call out our obedience.

In other words, 19 comes before 20…

Spend five minutes focusing on a couple of things you appreciate and thank God for them.

Revelation 22:1-5

Then the angel showed me a river with the water of life, clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb. 2 It flowed down the center of the main street. On each side of the river grew a tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit,[a] with a fresh crop each month. The leaves were used for medicine to heal the nations.

3 No longer will there be a curse upon anything. For the throne of God and of the Lamb will be there, and his servants will worship him. 4 And they will see his face, and his name will be written on their foreheads. 5 And there will be no night there—no need for lamps or sun—for the Lord God will shine on them. And they will reign forever and ever. (NLT)

When Jesus tells us to join him (“take my yoke”), we know we are living our lives with him working through us when we are joyful, kind, gentle…

So, when he says we will work with him and reign with him for eternity, we get a clue about eternal life  being more than sitting around, relaxing, and getting lots of rest. There are things we will be doing together.

We can do many things in our lives where it is not necessary to receive supernatural help. What are you doing right now that you couldn’t do unless Jesus was there with you? Think about those things and if there isn’t anything you can think of, think about what that might mean.
