“TO “ACT LIKE YOURSELF” means acting like an adult. Adults are strong people who are tender toward weakness. They have the strength to stand up for themselves and not get pushed around. Adults are not doormats. They are not easy to manipulate or intimidate. However, there is more to adult maturity than strength. Adults use their strength to serve. They don’t just look out for themselves; they look out for their people.” -RARE Leadership
Join us as we explore how to “act like adults.”

Theme: Rule 2 Imagine Who You Could Be, and Then Aim Single-Mindedly at That
I am a big fan of “Revenge” movies. Why are these so popular? Maybe something to do with an innate sense of justice. But, then Jesus tells me to, “Love your enemy…” What’s that all about? Psalm 57
2 Timothy 4:2-3
2 Preach the word of God. Be prepared, whether the time is favorable or not. Patiently correct, rebuke, and encourage your people with good teaching.
3 For a time is coming when people will no longer listen to sound and wholesome teaching. They will follow their own desires and will look for teachers who will tell them whatever their itching ears want to hear. 4 They will reject the truth and chase after myths.
Critical Thinking on Critical Social Justice Theory
How to Address Real Issues with Reality
- Does it seem to you that our world has turned upside down?
- Does it seem new words for things are constantly showing up and the definitions of words that have been around for awhile are changing, too?
- When you hear phrases like, “white supremacy” and “gender fluidity” are you confused?
- If you answer “Yes” to any of the above, do we have a class for you-
Monday Night@ 6 PM PT
We will examine Critical Social Justice Theory through the lens of Cynical Theories: How Activist Scholarship Made Everything about Race, Gender, and Identity- and Why This Harms Everybody. This is not a book study per say, but this will be the main text.
We will not only consider the real dangers of Critical Theory, but will also consider alternative approaches to help address some very real social problems we face in our society. Biblical foundations and brain research informed by the teachings of Dallas Willard and Jim Wilder will also guide our learning together.
We begin Monday, September 21@ 6 PM PT
Class participation is by registration only
