Last weekend, we had a wonderful meal with friends from Pacifica Institute and Valley Vineyard. A great opportunity for Christians and Muslims to share fellowship and learning together.

Following dinner we had a very interesting presentation on “Mary in the Quran”, by Dr. Zeki Saritoprak, professor of Islamic Studies at John Carroll University. We learned of the similarities and differences between Muslim and Christian teachings on the mother of Jesus.

We will have prayer and blessing of all teachers@ worship this Sunday, 10 a.m. Starting the new school year knowing God is with you and your friends in Christ are supporting you and praying for you is a powerful testimony of community.

If you are a teacher/administrator/school staff, come and be blessed. If you know of any teachers, invite them, as well!

As we begin a new school year we take this time to bless our young people as they continue their learning in the schools they attend. We will take time in worship to bless and pray for students and their families.

We had an awesome Via de Cristo spiritual retreat last weekend up at Sierra Christian Service Camp in Posey! LIFEhouse was well represented, including TC Christopher, the leader of the event. TC was a great model leading and serving with joy!

A wonderful time of renewal was experienced by all. Thank you for all your prayer support!

The Gospel Primer

When:

Starting the week of April 1

Eight weeks

Who:

Teens and up

A group of close friends whether it is a current small group or Bible study group, or you may invite some friends to join you in a new community for the next eight weeks. There are no size limitations, though 4-12 range is a good place to start. A good number to accommodate meeting in a home, apartment, or quiet restaurant, as you will come together once a week for simple meal and community building. Long time Christians, new Christians, and those who are interested in exploring faith. 

Resources:

The Gospel Primer Journal is the guide. These will be available Easter Sunday.

There will be a sermon connecting with what we did that week on the following Sunday.

Cost:

Suggested $15 for the book. If that is an issue, give less. We want no one left out.

Time:

20-30 minutes a day for eight weeks
